Job Description:

The Supplier Development associate provides a range of administrative support to other members of the SD team.  This role is considered developmental, as the SD associate will be increasingly exposed to the spectrum of SD responsibilities, with the intent that the associate may progress to other SD positions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the SD performance management program – maintains escalation logs, vets scorecards for accuracy and pulls raw data for needed suppliers; schedules scorecard review sessions; documents scorecard sessions and ensures follow up of action plans as required
  • Ensures vendor records are properly completed and vetted prior to AX activation
  • Troubleshoots with vendors as necessary as part of vendor activation (data collection)
  • Supports SPCS compliance mandate – collection of documentation and audit program
  • Support in development of SD documentation and processes
  • Supports SME/ Regional SD RFx initiatives
  • Ensures the success of the alternate revenue program by following up with vendor partners for outstanding referral payments
  • Reviews Fx rate fluctuations and advises/ supports team members in securing revised pricing as necessary
  • Assists to maintain SharePoint partner contact database and provide needful updates
  • Supports SD HHG functions:
    • Works with GMII pricing and SD to upload and keep current tariffs in RITS
    • Internal message crafting on vendor capacity during summer peak to operations
    • Updates MMI client list to prepare for sending to van lines
  • Assists with scheduling of meetings and trainings with vendors
  • Support to ad hoc projects - Follow up with vendors, track status, and develop supplier FAQ’s
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Required Skills

Required Skills:

  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team  
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint.  Access desirable)

Required Experience

Required Experience:

  • 1-3 years of general office experience
  • Ability to work with business partners on key initiatives
