Billing Collector full time

Silver Cross Surgery Center is seeking a Billing Collector to join our team!!!

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, the Collector is responsible for follow up on delinquent surgery center claims, working an expected number of claims per day. Majority of claims will have been submitted to various insurance carriers electronically. Knowledge of how to interpret a managed care contract, Medicare and Medicaid and Workers Compensation claims is a must. 

Pay range: Min $18.00- Max $21.00

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills using proper English grammar.
• Must have 3-4 years previous collections experience, in healthcare.
• Ability to read and understand insurance explanations of benefits and managed care contracts
• Knowledge of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
